Having spent over 20 years working at various drama colleges and universities from Sept 09 Annemarie will be opening her own. MTA the Musical Theatre Academy will be offering a 2 year vocational training course for those people looking to go into Musical Theatre performance. Working intensively through 4 terms a year this unique learning opportunity aims to get you out into the "real world" a year earlier and for a third of the price of the more established colleges. Offering public performances from term one, with a performance timetable that includes original musicals, workshops, masterclasses, and an exciting central London location for ALL shows (not just a West End Showcase - every show will be in town). ALL staff have worked either in the West End or on major No 1 tours (with the exception of dance staff ALL staff are currently still working professionals). Annemarie's new musical adaptation of Great Expectations written in collaboration with Gerry Flanagan is going to have a further life in 2008. Originally commissioned by YMT:UK for the annual International Youth Theatre Festival in Aberdeen, Great Expectations has been chosen by the company to progress to it's 2008 programming. You can catch this unique show at Bracknell South Hill Park Arts Centre on 6th & 7th August
Following on the success of Cinderella and Glass Slipper from 5th December 07 to January 17th 08 Annemarie is back at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, writing the songs and MD'ing' this years panto Puss In Boots.
In August Annemarie will be in Leeds for a Studio project with the YMT:UK writing a musical in a week, aided and hindered by the very tall Pete Gallagher.
Annemarie's work is currently being featured in Food For Love over in America.
