The Recall Session

An hour and a half session completely dedicated to the songs that you've been sent to learn.   Being one of the people who regularly sends stuff out to actors I know the sort of things that a creative team will be looking for. The session will be divided equally between the songs needing to be learnt (usually one or two), initially note bashing, checking that you really have the tune and timing under your belt.  Then working on the performances of the songs, and looking at how to make the song work for you.   At the end of the session you will be provided with a recording of the material allowing you to continue the preparation in your own time.

Email Support

• After the recall session you will be eligible to receive email support for up coming auditions.  How many times have you gone to an audition with the wrong song, unprepared, or simply misinformed? 

Conclusion

A pre-booked 1½ recall consultancy will:-

• Note bash the songs that have been sent to you.
• If a "better, more suitable" song was requested, find the appropriate song for you.
• An intensive rehearsal on the performance of the requested material
• Any background information required concerning the show, or song, or character.
• A rehearsal tape to be provided of all new material.
• An email support service accessible to you at all times for those last minute queries

COST

The price of the session is £75 payable on the day - this is to include all music and recordings. Once you have completed a recall session you will be eligible for email audition support.  This would enable you to get expert advice on up coming auditions as and when you needed it, including research on upcoming shows.

As the session is only open to professional performers I understand that audition/work commitments can crop up at short notice, therefore I have no cancellation fee system in place - however I would obviously appreciate as much notice as possible, to enable someone else to take your place.

Payment is either by cash or cheque on the day of the consultation.  As these sessions tend to come up at short notice I'm afraid that I'm unable to accept card payments for them.  A receipt will be provided for tax purposes on completion of the session. 

FAQs

Where does the consultancy take place?

• At my home in Palmers Green, North London.  Directions will be emailed to you on confirmation of booking.

What if I need to cancel?

• As the service is only open to professional actors there is no cancellation fee in place, as auditions and castings can crop up at short notice.  There is also no point in coming to your session if you are unable to sing on the day.  However please give as much notice as possible as the sessions are ridiculously over subscribed and someone might be able to use your session.

Can I share my session with a colleague?

• The consultancy is a specialised service, tailored for the individual, therefore no shared sessions are available.
